Overview
TRACE is a bidirectional sync engine that connects Bluebeam Studio markup data with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Issues. When a reviewer flags a coordination item in a Bluebeam Studio Session using a Cloud+, Cloud, Callout, or Pen markup, TRACE automatically creates a native ACC Issue with a 2D sheet pin placed at the exact markup location, including a Revu markup thumbnail attached to the Issue.
When a modeler resolves and closes the issue in ACC, TRACE writes the resolved status back to the Bluebeam markup, closing the loop without anyone switching tools. (Status writeback to Bluebeam is rolling out, pending final Bluebeam partner authorization.)
TRACE runs on the customer’s own Windows machine (self-hosted), so markup data and credentials never leave their network. A managed cloud option is also available for teams who prefer Platform AEC to host the engine.
Setup takes under 10 minutes via a browser-based wizard. No terminal or developer knowledge required. TRACE runs as a background Windows service and displays live sync status in the system tray.
